You want to follow your diving carrier going "deeper " into Scuba Diving knowledge? Assistant Instructor is the next step after Dive Master and the last before Open Water Scuba instructor.
Following the PADI Assistant Instructor course you will gain more knowledge about Scuba Diving, and you will be part of the educational proccesses as well. Of course you teaching responsibilites will be limited until you get to the next level as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
At the end of the course you will be able to assit any certified Instructor and take limited resposibility of the training course. Being an assistant instructor, in addition to the responsabilities and the duties that you already have as a Divemaster, you will be able, (always under the direct or indirect supervision of a PADI instructor) to teachacademic presentation, present skill training, evaluate OWD surface skills, teach and certify PADI Peak Performance Boyancy Speciality and more.

Prerequisites:

Be a PADI Divemaster or qualifying certification from another certification organization

Be at least 18 years old
-
60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation dives

Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
-
Have CPR and First Aid Training within the last 24 months
-
Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months
