Oxygen is a colourless, odourless, tasteless gas, the most plentiful element in the Earth's crust; its most important compound is water. In this course you will learn how to assemble and effectively use oxygen equipment in diving emergencies.
This course includes both theory and practice in possible real life scenarios. More effective if combined with the Diver First Aid course.
By learning the symptoms of diving emergencies such as decompression sickness, lung overexpansion injury and near drowning, this course helps students to diagnose the need for oxygen administration.
Students will also learn about the different types of oxygen delivery systems, how to use them and deliver oxygen to a patient and other considerations while you await the Emergency Medical Services.
